Coronary stent placement, also known as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), is a procedure used to treat acute arterial blockages. A metal stent is inserted into the affected coronary artery through a delivery system to keep the artery open, improve blood flow, and prevent serious cardiovascular complications.

A fracture is a condition characterized by a disruption in the anatomical continuity of a bone, which may be partial or complete, caused either by mechanical forces exceeding the bone’s strength or by pathological processes that weaken its structure.

CAD, also known as ischemic heart disease (IHD), is a condition in which damaged coronary arteries struggle to supply the heart with enough blood, oxygen and nutrients. Reduced blood flow to the heart can cause chest pains (angina), heart attacks (myocardial infarction), and in extreme cases, death.
